Guideposts Unveils New Booth, New Books at ICRS

New Booth Showcases GuidepostsBooks, Ideals Publications, Guideposts magazines

NEW YORK, NY--Guideposts will unveil its new trade show booth during the 2006 International Christian Retail Show on Monday, July 10, 2006.  The new booth will showcase Guideposts’ entire family of consumer products, including its popular magazines, books published by GuidepostsBooks and books published by Ideals Publications and its imprints—Ideal’s Children’s Books, Candy Cane Press, GPKids, and Williamson Books.  Founded more than 60 years ago by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and his wife Ruth Stafford Peale, Guideposts is one of the most recognized inspirational organizations worldwide.  Guideposts magazine, the organization’s flagship publication which reaches 8 million readers monthly, has delivered inspirational first-person stories for more than six decades.

“The Guideposts brand has steadily grown in respect and recognition over the last sixty years,” says Richard Stenhouse, Vice President, Guideposts Book Publishing Group.  “We want to help Christian retailers access our brand, and this new booth is a step in that direction.  We invite retailers to drop by and browse our magazines, preview our fall books and meet our authors during the Denver show.”

The spacious Guideposts booth (#3521) is designed to feature its family of magazines (Guideposts, Angels, Positive Thinking, and Sweet 16) as well as each of its book publishing imprints, GuidepostsBooks and Ideals Publications.   GuidepostsBooks, during its inaugural season this fall, publishes titles in four categories: first-person narratives, inspiring fiction, helpful how-to books and thematic story collections. Ideals Publications and its imprints publish children’s board and picture books, children’s interactive books, educational books, and a line of full-color and illustrated gift books for adults. Sales representatives at the ICRS booth will be prepared to assist retailers with orders of all Guideposts products.
